CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the afternoon of May 30, the crystal corridor exploration cabin – observation deck of China’s first horizontal skyscraper Raffles City Chongqing was officially open to the public, attracting many local citizens and tourists. Particularly, the most popular place is the 250-meter-high glass observation deck on the 47th floor, where visitors queue up for take pictures in various poses.

The reporter found on the scene that the observation deck was adopted with the crowd limiting measure, but it didn’t abate visitors’ enthusiasm. After queuing up and stepping on the observation deck, visitors got a first glimpse of the confluence of two rivers. Looking downing through the glass, visitors would see palm-size steamers sailing on rivers slowly. Some timid visitors slowly moved forward step by step, hands on the railing.

Chaotianmen, where the project is located at, has a profound historical and cultural resources, and is itself a popular tourist destination, while the wharf is the starting point of the two-river tourism and Three Gorges cruise tourism. The Changbin Road and Jiabin Road have been connected after the project going into operation, which also promotes the riverside tourism resources interaction in the Yuzhong peninsula. After the connections with famous tourist attractions such as Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, Changjiang River Cableway and Huguang Guild Hall are formed, the tourism in Yuzhong will be more convenient and will provide richer experience in future.
