CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “You look so beautiful when you smile, like the sunshine in winter, all good times in the whole world, and a picture scroll.” Children’s smile is healing. It is bright and pure enough to warm everything in the world. Recently, we recorded smiles of such a group of children in the villages of Beibei, Bishan, Tongliang, Fengjie and Wushan in Chongqing. They were born in poor family, and the “spring breeze” from the policy of poverty alleviation blows into the village where these children live. This group of children put on new clothes and lived in a new house... There are smiles on their face! You know what, kids? When you smile, the world becomes brighter!

I am Yuexi from Qiping Village, Tongliang, Chongqing. I am the girl holding lotus leaf. Look, lotus leaf is so pretty! My grandmother loved this lotus pond very much. She liked to take me here to see lotus flowers and lotus leaves along the new road beside my house. There was no road before. When grandmother went out on a rainy day, she got mud all over her clothes. People in the town knew at a glance that she came from Jiapigou, Tongliang. Now we have roads all over the village, so it’s easy for us to get anywhere.

I am Xinyao. I live in a small town in Tongliang, Chongqing. The little girl next to me is my sister Xinyu. Grandma said that the “task” of the four hens was to lay eggs for us to eat, help us gain a good health and learn well. Grandma also told us that our father who went out to work would be back soon. My sister and I are very happy and looking forward to my father’s coming home early.

My name is Yiyi. I’m 5 years old. I live in Sihe Village, Bishan. Since my father ran the Four Seasons Fragrant Ecological Orchard, more people have come to my home. Neighbors in the village will work in my orchard. In the harvest season, there will be many uncles, aunts and children from other places who come here to pick fruits. I like chasing ducks in my orchard and looking for snails under the fruit trees.
