CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It was busy that the construction workers were digging the lift pile foundation on the side of Changbin Road and the earthwork of an accessible ramp at the construction site of Dongshuimen Bridge in Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality a few days ago.

The person in charge of the project introduced that 3 lifts would be installed to Dongshuimen Bridge, respectively 1 escalator and 1 lift set up on the side of Yuzhong District, and 1 vertical lift set up on the side of Nan’an District. Among which, the escalator will be arranged connecting Changbin Road and the deck of Dongshuimen Bridge on the north side of Dongshuimen Bridge in Yuzhong District. Besides the escalator, there will be an accessible ramp about 300 meters long, which will create a pleasant winding garden. A vertical lift will be installed on the south side of Dongshuimen Bridge in Yuzhong District.

It is understood that Qiansimen, Dongshuimen and Chaotianmen Bridges, as the “effective means” connecting the two river banks in the core area of the “Two Rivers and Four Banks”, will improve the slow-moving system, improve walking facilities, and add vertical lifts and urban balconies. The construction on Dongshuimen Bridge, the first to be implemented, began earlier this year and is now completed 40%, and it is expected to be completed in October 2020.
