Pang returned to Suwei Village, Heixi Town, Qianjiang District in 2016 to take care of his aged parents. As he had the experience of planting peach trees in other places, he then establish a peach orchard about 200mu in Suwei Village.

The slope of the barren mountain is more than 45 degrees, so it is extremely difficult to build an orchard. However, Pang is a tough man, and he was not intimidated by the immediate difficulties, so he personally worked with local villagers to build a peach orchard with a short time.

In the orchard, Pang built a mud and stone road about 2km long and 3m wide. Pang played the main role in cultivating virgin land, planting trees, managing orchards and building roads. “This is a family farm. If I don’t play a major role and rely on someone else, my orchard will probably not last long,” Pang said.

After the peach orchard was built, Pang responded positively to the call of poverty alleviation, gave priority to hiring local poor households for daily management and care of the orchard under the same conditions. Now, the peach orchard sees a large amount of fruits and its picking period, and the original 200mu barrel mountain is covered with big and ripe fruits.
