CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter of Chongqing Morning Post learnt from Yufu Park of Liangjiang New Area that the production of rail transit trains has been started for the first phase of Line 9, and the trains made their debut. The “identification color” of Line 9 is purplish red. All trains all produced by Chongqing CRRC Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CRRC”) which is an enterprise located in Liangjiang New Area.

It is reported that the project of Line 9 is divided into the first phase and the second phase. The first phase starts from Xinqiao Shapingba and ends at Huixing Yubei, connecting Shapingba District, Yuzhong District, Jiangbei District, Yubei District and Liangjiang New Area, totaling 32.3km, and having 25 stations including Xinqiao, Gaotanyan, Tianli Road, Shapingba, Xiaolongkan, Tuwan, Hongyancun, Fuhua Road, Hualongqiao, Lijiaping, Mahuangliang, Guanyinqiao, Liyuchi, Liujiatai, Jiangbeicheng, Wulidian, Gailanxi, Toutang, Baoshuigang, Hejialiang, Shipanhe, Shangwan Road, Qinggangping, Baoshenghu and Xingke Avenue, and available for transferring from and to Line 1, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 6, Line 10 and others.

Every line has its own “identification color”. For example, Line 1 is in garnet red, Line 2 green, Line 3 azure blue, Line 4 yellow, Line 5 light blue, Line 6 light pink, Line 10 purple and Loop Line lemon yellow. While, the “identification color” of Line 9 is purplish red.

There will be raised partitions between the positions

More humanized designs have also been added to the interior layout of the trains of Line 9. For example, the circular handrail in the carriage is larger so that passengers, after entering the carriage, can hold the handrail to enter the carriage under the congestion of the entrance area, and it will be safer for passengers to hold the handrail when the vehicle starts and stops.

In addition to the circular handrail, there are also some differences in the seats for the first phase of Line 9. There will be a raised partition between seats to prevent the passenger from sliding left and right on the seat during starting and braking, improving seat comfort and safety.

It is understood that most of the rail transit trains that Chongqing citizens take are produced by CRRC which also produces the trains for the first phase of Line 9.

It can carry 2000 persons at a time during peak hours

According to the relevant person in charge, the first phase of Line 9 will be organized in six carriages, with a total length of 120m and the capacity to carry about 2,000 passengers at a time during peak hours. The whole project of the first phase of Line 9 is scheduled to arrange 37 railway trains including that 24 trains produced this year are expected to be delivered by the end of the year; and at present, 4 trains have completed dynamic commissioning; and the remaining trains are being produced as planned.
