CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In order to further facilitate the public transport in the central districts of Chongqing, the first batch of alley buses are in service recently. Two routes are opened for trial operation and the ticket price is two yuan, with transfer included.

Two routes firstly opened for trial operation

Chongqing Traffic Bureau, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Public Transport have made innovative breakthroughs in bus models and operation modes. On branches that cannot be accessed by regular buses, small buses are invested to build a service brand of “alley shuttle bus” to serve the travel of citizens living in the “last kilometer” area. From now on, two routes firstly are opened for trial operation.

The two trial routes are Bus 3200 and Bus 3208, operated by Chongqing Western Public Transport Company.

Bus 3200: it is equipped with five buses, running 6.45 km from New Century Department Store in Daping to Corporate Avenue. It runs for 30 minutes and the shift interval is 6-15 minutes. Operation time: 7:00 - 20:00.

Bus stops of Bus 3200 in forward are Century Department Store in Daping, Chongqing Vision Institute in Daping, Daping Hospital, Jiukengzi, Shiyoulu Intersection, Chongqing International Business District and Corporate Avenue. Bus stops in reverse are Corporate Avenue, Chongqing International Business District, Chongqing Renping ENT Hospital in Hutouyan, Shiyoulu Intersection, Jiukengzi, Daping Hospital, Daping Qipaifang and Century Department Store in Daping.

Bus 3208: it is equipped with five buses, running 3 km from New Century Department Store in Daping to Jiaotong Street. It runs for 15 minutes and the shift interval is 5-12 minutes. Operation time: 7:00 - 20:00.

Bus stops of Bus 3208 in forward are Century Department Store in Daping, Chongqing Vision Institute in Daping, Dahuanglu Intersection, Dahuang Road, Bandao Shenlan, Xingyuewan and Jiaotong Street. Bus stops in reverse are Jiaotong Street, Bandao Shenlan, Dahuang Road, Dahuanglu Intersection and Qipaifang.

The newly opened “alley buses” are full electric vehicles with a white and green exterior with the Chinese characters “小巷公交” marked. The bus number is displayed on the roof.
