CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Ba People Carrying Water, Shepherd and Cows, Immediately... On June 19, the opening ceremony of “Xu Beihong and the Essence of National Aesthetic Education” Art Exhibition and the opening ceremony of Chongqing Xu Beihong Art Museum, were held in the Former Residence of Xu Beihong. Twenty-three precious original works created by Xu Beihong during his stay in Chongqing, as well as 22 exquisite original works by artists such as Li Keran, Li Hu, Zong Qixiang, and Zhang Anzhi, brought a high-level art feast to Chongqing.

In terms of exhibition design, the exhibition adopted multiple ways of expression, such as the original painting exhibition + historical materials and documents + real scene restoration + technological interaction + virtual exhibition on the cloud. The first floor of Shijia Garden, where Xu Beihong once lived, was used as the original scene exhibition area to restore the original scenes of Xu Beihong’s Studio, Meeting Room and Library of China Academy of Art. The second floor is the exhibition area of original works, which was divided into five sections. The exhibition fully showed the national spirit of artists in using painting art to fight for the country in a special period, as well as their native land emotion.

This exhibition is not only a sorting out of the internal connection between Xu Beihong and Chongqing’s three-dimensional city, but also a display of the establishment of a modern Chinese art education system. From June 19 to June 25, it is the period for professional audiences to visit the exhibition. From June 26 to September 13, it will be opened to the public.
