CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The most severe flood peak of this year has passed downtown Chongqing. Due to the heavy rainfall, on July 26, the No. 3 flood of 2020 in Yangtze River occured in its upper reaches. Since 7 a.m. of July 27th, many reporters visited flood passing sites and recorded it by lens.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, a bird's eye view of Shanhuba located in Yangtze River — only a few "probing" branches remained above the river.

A security guard was on duty at Caiyuanba building materials market. He told us that after the river rose last night, the security guards were on duty 24 hours a day, prohibiting citizens from approaching the river.

At 9:50 in the morning, all the shops on the first floor of Yuzhong logistics market was submerged by the flood.

Under Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge of Changbin Road, the river level rose, and the trees along Binjiang Road were flooded, leaving only canopies being seen.

At 10:30, Chaotianmen gate was partially submerged by the flood.
