CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Datianwan Citizen Fitness Center, the non-cultural relics project of the Datianwan Stadium has officially started.

According to Datianwan Citizen Fitness Center, on December 6, 2019, the protection and enhancement project of the Datianwan-Culture Palace-Grand Auditorium Area was officially launched. The project includes cultural relics protection and repair projects and non-cultural relics construction projects. The cultural relic project has officially started on June 30, 2020, while Datianwan Stadium Conservation and Utilization Project has obtained the engineering construction license on August 7, which not only marks the official start of non-cultural relic construction project, but also marks the overall construction of the project. The construction of non-cultural relics projects mainly includes stadium foundation and main body construction, sports craft track construction, supporting housing construction, garden landscape construction and other projects.

It was seen on the construction site that after the temporary buildings around the Datianwan Stadium were demolished, the surrounding environment became more refreshing. According to Wu Di, Project Manager of the Datianwan Project of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Co. Ltd., the EPC project of the Datianwan Stadium Conservation and Utilization Project will be integrated with the Cultural Palace and the Auditorium in the future. These three sections will form a supporting building system.

“After the renovation, there will be multiple venues such as basketball, tennis, and badminton. In the planning of the sports park, there are also green gardens and 1.5 kilometers of fitness trails. After the entire project is completed, the fitness trails will be similar to the original nearby. In addition to sports and cultural functions, the Datianwan Stadium also carries multiple functions such as emergency refuge and cultural relic protection.
