This was the first sail after the resumption of the Chongqing-Yichang Three Gorges cross-provincial tourism since the outbreak of the epidemic, marking the full resumption of water tourism in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

All the boarding tourists were wearing masks. They consciously had the body temperature checked and showed the Yukang Code (for demonstration of dynamic health status) and valid identity cards, keeping social distance with each other.

“After 55 years of separation, the trip finally came to fruition.” At 18:00, 76-year-old Mr. Zhang from Henan and his friends were excited to board the cruise ship. He claimed that when he was in college, he had passed by the Three Gorges by boat. Unfortunately, he was not able to appreciate the scenery in detail. At that time, he had a wish that he must visit the Three Gorges again. And 55 years have passed.

“I bought my ticket online five days ago.” Mr. Zhang said he was lucky.

“We strictly follow the requirement that the actual loading rate of the cruise ship does not exceed 50% of the passenger quota.” The official of Chongqing Yangtze Gold Cruises Co., Ltd. said that based on the quota of 570 passengers, 270 of more than 300 registered passengers were arranged for the maiden voyage.

The four-day-and-three-night Chongqing-Yichang route is operated by Golden 2, departing from Yichang every Monday and Chongqing every Friday.
