On August 11, the maximum temperature on the road surface of the site field work surface exceeded 200°C.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On August 11, in the construction site of heat regeneration in Zengjia Section of Chongqing Outer Ring Expressway, an 80-meter-long orange “train”, wrapped in a heat wave, evenly “sprayed out” the hot asphalt mixture. Around the “train”, more than 20 construction workers were wielding shovels to level the paved road. 

The mixture sprayed by the train was up to 140°C, while the temperature on the road surface of the site exceeded 200°C. “For geothermal regeneration work, the higher the temperature, the better the quality of the patched pavement, so summer is the best time for the pavement maintenance.” According to the person in charge of the project, in order to ensure the comfort of the drivers and passengers, the maintenance personnel specially chose the midsummer to repair the damaged pavement of the expressway.
