“Mirrors of the sky”: Another views of Mountain City

2020-08-14 14:21:11

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In August, Chongqing welcomes the hot summer, and it’s time to take some beautiful photos of the city. In the midst of the hectic city life, a moment of peace and quiet is needed to capture the symmetrical beauty of this modern city with water as a mirror. High-rise buildings are lined up one after another. In a trance, one wonders whether the water is in the sky or the sky is in the water. Now, follow the camera to the “mirrors of the sky” of main districts of Chongqing and admire the city from a different view.

After more than three hours of waiting, the crimson clouds were captured in the same frame as the night lighting, and the splendor was doubled in the reflection of the water. At nightfall, Raffles City and the Grand Theatre on the other bank of the river were lit up. They were even more glowing with the lights of the thousands of families. (Secondary exposure)

No matter how hot it is, people can't stop looking for beauty. In order to secure the best spot, photographers rushed to a small pond on the sixth floor landscaped terrace of Landmark Riverside on Nanbin Road to wait before the sun went down. Even though the sun was blazing, they were focusing on adjusting their composition and couldn't care less about the heat.

Looking out over Yuzhong peninsula before sunset, modern buildings seem to be surrounded by a layer of gold, which are dazzling and shining. Slowly sink into the familiar cityscape and you will find a mixture of romance and sensuality.

Sunset is the best time to shoot. By the pool, professional cameras and cellphones were lined up. The landscapes occupied the screens and flew out from the screens like water, submerging people’s WeChat Moment.

At the summit of Pipa Mountain in Yuzhong District, a cultural and creative hotel has built a pool without edges for guests to look out across the river. When the weather is fine, a few clouds occasionally drifted over the water, as if they were passing by in a hurry.

Ms. Pang, who was from Chengdu, came to visit the pool without edges in particular. The calm and beautiful scenery is the way life should be.

Luck is necessary for taking beautiful photos. At 3:00 p.m., 69-year-old photography enthusiast He Chengyun came to the small pool in front of a bank building in Jiangbeizui, “Last year I came to shoot three times. This year, when I got a new phone with time-lapse photography, I thought I'd come back to shoot again.” Because of the wind, He Chengyun had to stop shooting several times.

This 20-meter-long pool in front of the bank is popular. Since the water was not tranquil due to the wind, photographers took a break and talked about their “private” experience of shooting beautiful photos in their spare time.

Photographers could capture the beautiful skyline of the Yuzhong peninsula from the mini-mirror of the sky in the Yanyu Park of Nanbin Road. Ms. Chen, a fan of animes, said, “Looking around, it's like a fairy tale world by Miyazaki Hayao. We’ve accidentally encountered a real-life version of Spirited Away.

For tourists visiting Nanbin Road, posing for a picture has become a “must-experience” one. Like a large mirror, the small pool reflected the texture and unique beauty of the city. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
