BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- "Crimson River," a new Chinese web drama in the "Light On" suspense series from online streaming platform iQiyi, is set for release on Tuesday evening.

It comes on the heels of "The Bad Kids," another show in the highly anticipated "Light On" series, which became a hit after its release two months ago.

"Crimson River" revolves around an unsolved murder case of a young girl, which repeats itself 20 years later and awakens the memories of a peaceful river town. In the show, a man, once a witness to the murder case, returns to the town to seek out the truth as a policeman.

"The Bad Kids," adapted from a novel, stars Qin Hao as a math teacher who hatches an elaborate murder plot to kill the parents of his unfaithful wife after she demands a divorce. However, his actions are recorded by three children playing nearby.

"The Bad Kids" currently boasts a rating of 8.9 points out of 10 on Douban, a Chinese review platform, based on more than 740,000 reviews. Enditem
