On August 22, citizens were visiting Guangyang Isle with their child.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the first day of the trial opening of Guangyang Isle, the number of people who made the reservation to visit it reached 1,000 on August 22. After visiting the isle, citizens have praised the current ecological restoration, saying that Guangyang Isle has changed dramatically and look forward to it becoming a new landmark of Chongqing in the future.

The first group of citizens arrived on time at the first stop of the isle’s “one route and six points”, which is Integrated Demonstration Site, in a new electric bus just after 10:00 a.m., despite the hot weather. Many of them brought their cameras and posed for pictures as soon as they got off the bus, with the golden paddies and clear water as the backdrop. 

“I thought it was going to be a two-hour ride, but it only took 1 hour and 10 minutes. The trip was well worth it!” Deng Hongbin, 65, who lives in Daping, Yuzhong District, made a reservation for Guangyang Isle on the evening of August 21 after seeing the news of the trial opening. In accordance with the traffic guideline, Deng Hongbin took Line 1 and transferred to Line 6, and then transferred to bus No. 176 to smoothly arrive at Guangyang Isle. As far as he could remember, the only attraction on Guangyang Isle in the past was rape flowers. Now, the messy and disorderly environment of the past has been upgraded and there was scenery everywhere, which made him very surprised. 

“Guangyang Isle will surely be the new landmark of Chongqing.” Zhang Qin, a citizen from Jiangbei District, brought her daughter, who will be in the third grade of primary school, to Guangyang Isle to experience the fruits of ecological restoration. She said the isle was very scenic, and they could also see rare plants and animals in the park and get close to the nature, which was perfect for bringing children for an ecological lesson.

In this regard, the person in charge of Guangyang Isle Green Development Company said that the first phase of the ecological restoration was completed as scheduled, but there are still some areas of the isle has not yet opened, so the public should be aware of safety and care for the ecology while visiting. The second phase of Guangyang Isle’s ecological restoration project will start in September. Upon completion, it will present a greener, more ecological and more beautiful Guangyang Isle.
