CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- There are fans overhead to cool you off and wireless chargers next to the seats to charge your phone. Recently, such comfortable bus stops have appeared on the streets of the mountain city. The reporter from Chongqing Morning Post saw that the new Huanghuayuan Bridge North Bus Stop has been put into use and many passengers were waiting for buses.

Impressing appearance: installation of fans, radio and other facilities overhead

“It’s more impressing and better looking than the previous stop.” Ms. Huang, a passenger, said that this new stop was put into service just recently. This new stop is next to the old one.

From the appearance, the new stop is significantly better and more impressive than the old one. Meanwhile, the new stop has a wider advertising board as well as reserved space for vending machines and displays.

Two benches and two single-stools, one tall and the other short, have been installed on the stop for people to sit and rest while waiting for buses. 

It is worth mentioning that the sunshade at the top of the stop is also equipped with facilities such as surveillance cameras, radio and fans, adding more new features to it.

The reporter noted that the three electric fans at the top are not yet on, but from the looks of it, the fan pages can be rotated so that the air blowing out can cover a larger area.

A new stop sign has been added to the side railings of the stop, which not only has the name of stops, but also all the bus routes that stop there, with the reminder, “Waiting here for the above routes”. 

Thoughtful designs: USB interfaces and wireless charger available

The reporter also found a number of thoughtful designs on the new stop. Here, for example, you can charge your phone while waiting for bus.

Two USB interfaces are mounted on each of the back side rails at each end of the benches. You can charge your phone as long as you have a charging cable. If your phone supports wireless charging, the wireless chargers on the benches are always on for you.

Each bench has two wireless chargers mounted on the middle back side of the bench. The reporter took out a phone that supported wireless charging and put it on a wireless charger, and the phone started charging immediately.
