CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Urban Lighting Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Administration), functional lighting of riverside roads like Changbin Road, Jiabin Road, Shabin Road, Niudi Road has been restored on successively on August 30, August 31 and September 1. This means that after the severe floods, the frontline staff of the Administration has completed the repair task within 8 days, and the functional lighting of “two river and four banks” riverside roads in the central urban area have been on.

“The No. 5 Flood of the Yangtze River in 2020” and “the No. 2 Flood of the Jialing River in 2020” passed through the main urban area of Chongqing, and the lighting facilities of the city along the two rivers and four banks were seriously affected. The functional lighting of Nanbin Road, Changbin Road, Jiabin Road and other sections along rivers were suspended. After the floods receded, the Administration planned scientifically and took the initiative to restore the road functional lighting by temporary lighting.

Since the launch of restoration and reconstruction work of riverside roads lighting facilities, the Administration made efforts to overcome difficulties such as high temperature, and working high above the ground, performed staggered operation, strengthened communication and coordination, used near temporary power supply and emergency power, and took a variety of ways to solve problems, restoring the function lighting of riverside roads along “two rivers and four banks” in a short period of time, and greatly guaranteeing pedestrians and vehicles’ demands at night.
