CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the morning of September 5, with the sound of a siren, “Jiaoyun Mingyue” slowly set out from Chaotianmen Wharf in Chongqing, and the Chaotianmen - Guangyang Island ecological sightseeing ship route was opened for trial operation.

Four cruise ships a day will pass 15 scenic spots along the way

Guangyang Island has open the land route to the island since August 22. Now citizens can also land on the island by ship. Not only can they enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Yangtze River, they can also fully experience the unique charm of the “ecological class” on Guangyang Island.

The Chaotianmen - Guangyang Island Ecological Sightseeing Ship Route is about 24.5km, passing through 15 sightseeing spots including Jiangbeizui, Chongqing Grand Theater, Danzishi Old Street, Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge, Chongqing Cuntan International Container Terminal, and Tongluo Gorge.

During the trial operation, 4 cruise ships will be operated throughout the day. There are two daily ships from Chaotianmen to Guangyang Island, which depart from Chaotianmen Jiaoyun Fourth Pier at 9:00 and 11:00, and the sailing time is about 80 minutes; from Guangyang Island to Chaotianmen there are two daily ships, respectively. They depart from Dongdaotou Wharf at Guangyang Island at 14:00 and 16:00, and the sailing time is about 120 minutes.
