CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Garbage sorting is becoming a new trend. Recently, Zhongliang Town, Shapingba District, Chongqing, guided residents to carry out garbage sorting by playing interesting interactive games and popularizing knowledge of garbage sorting.
In Zhongliang Town, residents were given a card with pictures of various types of garbage after watching a promotional animation on garbage sorting. There was also a large turntable with pictures of various types of garbage on it. When the turntable stopped spinning, residents had to throw their garbage cards into the corresponding “Four Colors and Four Types” bin, regardless of which type of garbage the pointer pointed to. Gifts would be awarded to those who threw correctly. The event was both informative and fun, for which it attracted many residents.
At a kindergarten in the area, teachers organized children to watch garbage sorting cartoons and play garbage sorting games to guide them in learning how to sort garbage. The town has also launched a points-reward program about regular garbage sorting and disposal, where residents with points can exchange them for various gifts.
In order to promote simultaneous garbage sorting in urban and rural areas, rural areas such as Longquan Village, Maoshanxia Village and Xinfa Village in Shapingba District have also carried out interesting promotional activities such as prize quizzes and lottery quizzes in line with rural reality.
