CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to a reporter from Chongqing Daily, the main buildings of the Traditional Cultural Experience Area (Area A and B) and the ICON Cultural and Creative Experience Area (Area C) as the core area of Shibati have been basically completed.

When you climb high, you can see a magnificent complex of traditional buildings here. The Traditional Cultural Experience Area (Area A and B) located on the main path of Shibati, is mainly based on Bayu traditional folk culture, Bayu city culture, and historical architecture culture. In the future, it will be built to integrate cultural leisure, cultural tourism, and catering. Accommodation is an open cultural experience block. The building next to the Area A and B to the east is the ICON Cultural and Creative Experience (Area C), which will use inherited and innovative handicraft products, exquisitely developed tourist products, and unique cultural IP derivatives to show the ICON fashion culture.

At the same time, the main buildings of the International Exchange Center and Lifestyle Center (Area D and E) next to the core area are under construction and are expected to be completed before November 30 this year.

Last year, the first development of Shibati Traditional Style Area was widely praised by professionals and visitors. The reporter took a look at the main buildings of the newly built core area, and found that they still continued and developed the style of the first development area. Whether it is wooden structure with bucket stilted building, blue tile roof, or characteristic construction mixed with European style in Ming and Qing dynasties, such as bamboo wall, white and gray wall, stone wall and “adobe construction”, etc., they generally restore those landscape elements retained the deepest in people’s memory and emotion about Shibati.

Although there are a complex on-site environment and high construction intensity, the construction party still protects the old buildings and trees with historical value in the area.

“We paid special attention to the old buildings and historical fragments in the past, and we have performed historical restoration as much as possible.” The relevant person in charge said that the tortuous path of Shibati, the scattered and uneven architectural styles are the “soul” of this traditional style area. Although this may bring some challenges to the passage and distribution of a large number of tourists in the future, the construction unit still decided to restore the purest Shibati and preserve it after weighing it.

It is expected that before April 15, 2021, all the main buildings of Shibati will be completed, and the core area is expected to be opened to the public in June 2021. (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
