CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It's understood that Chongqing Public Transport Group will put 1093 buses into use in succession, covering electric medium-sized buses and large-capacity plug-in hybrid new energy buses. The new buses are being delivered gradually, and some buses have already completed registration and other procedures. Nearly 200 new buses will be put into operation before the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival to provide better service for the public during the holidays.

The new buses are all energy-efficient and environmentally friendly new energy models. The type of bus adopts a one-step structure, which makes it easier for passengers to get on and off the bus as they only need to take one step. At the same time, the buses adopt an integral body structure technology and are equipped with intelligent video surveillance system, disc brake system, push-out emergency escape window and other facilities. For the new energy vehicle power battery, they are also equipped with battery compartment and battery box detection and fire extinguishing device to make them run more safely and reliably. The coaches are equipped with service facilities such as flip-flop accessible ramp panels, wheelchair fixed areas, charging USB ports and wall-mounted forced radiators to provide the public with a more comfortable riding experience.

When all buses are put into use, the number of one-step buses in the main urban districts will reach 2,000. Combined with the gradual advancement of the construction of bus priority lanes, it will further enhance the efficiency of bus operation and provide the public with more comfortable and fast travel services.
