ALGIERS, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Tunisian President Kais Saied on Monday had a telephone conversation on the situation in Libya, the official APS news agency reported.

Tebboune reaffirmed during the talk Algeria's "clear and unshakeable" position to the Libyan crisis, which advocates a peaceful and political solution emanating from the will of Libyan people.

He added that Algeria will spare no effort to help Libyan people find peaceful solutions by holding elections.

Tebboune also praised the inter-Libyan dialogue which will be held next month in Tunis under the organization of the United Nations.

The two presidents also discussed the visit of Tebboune to Tunisia while no specific date has been announced.

This visit was scheduled in March but canceled due to the health situation caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. Enditem
