CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On October 16, the 12th China (Chongqing) Hot Pot & Food Culture Festival will be held in Chongqing, and there will be more than 300 hot pot brands in the festival. In fact, it is not only hot pot enterprises that aim to make efforts to boost the development of hot pot industry. The reporter has learned that HEMA registered the trademark of "HEMA hot pot" a few days ago, which means that hot pot is officially stepping into a new age of retailing from traditional catering industry.

It is reported that before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, HEMA hot pot has been sold in all the stores across the country. Compared with last year, this year, the sales time has been ahead of time, and there are more and more special hot pot soups and dishes, such as double Boiled Lamb in Spring Water hot pot, sour radish duck hot pot, lobster hot pot and Chinese sauerkraut hot pot. HEMA stores in different cities have also developed new hot pot soups according to the preferences of local consumers, such as Da Bianlu and Zhu Wanwan.

The sales data of HEMA Hotpot is very eye-catching due to the concentrated consumption demands released during the holiday. During this period, nearly 100,000 pots have been sold. Different from the traditional catering industries, HEMA, as a new retailer combining both online and offline sales, aims to deliver foods to customers’ home within 30 minutes, which is quite convenient and fast, while the price is only half of traditional hot pot restaurants. HEMA claims that this year they will not only stress the cost-effectiveness that last year pursued, but also focus more on the quality and richness of ingredients.

Obviously, hot pot enjoys great popularity and it is introduced that there is a growing demand to take hot pot home. According to data from HEMA in 2019, 10% of people chose to eat in the restaurants during the hot pot season, while more than 80% choose to take it home. On the Double Eleven last year, HEMA reached a peak of 14,000 orders per day.

It is reported that this year HEMA has attracted the attention of the hot pot industry. Many well-known hot pot brands such as Laowang have decided to cooperate with HEMA. (Translated by Zeng Chenxi, Fathom Language Limited)
