2020-10-16 10:24:18

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, in Yinglongmen Wharf, Anju Ancient Town, Tongliang District, Chongqing, the operation of water buses has written a new page in the history of passenger transport in the Fujiang River, in order to bring an easier and safer travel for passengers.

Anju Ancient Town is located at the confluence of Qiongjiang River and Fujiang River, connecting upstream to Tongnan District and downstream to Hechuan District. In the past, its water transport was well developed and it was a famous wharf in Chongqing.

The four water buses lined up in a row have white hulls. The cabins are bright and spacious, with a central walkway and neatly arranged seats on both sides. The boats have stainless steel guardrails and red horns and warning lights on the roof bars. If the river is overcast by mist, flashing warning lights can instruct other vessels to move out of the way. In addition, the solar receivers on these boats provide the energy for lighting.

The cabs of the newly launched water buses are set in the forecabins, giving the driver a better view; and the cabins have also changed from semi-open to close for the safety management of passengers; and particularly noteworthy is that there are special toilets on the boats with segregated garbage bins, and its feces and domestic waste are collected and disposed of ashore through special facilities, thus realizing zero discharge of domestic sewage and protecting water resources from pollution.
