BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on Hongshan culture, China's most well-known Neolithic culture which dates back 5,000 to 6,500 years, is being held at the National Museum of China.

The exhibition marks the resumed excavation of the Niuheliang site, the largest known sacrificial site and tomb group of northeast China's Hongshan culture.

More than 160 artifacts are on display, including a C-shaped jade dragon which is one of the museum's treasures.

The exhibition features pictures of the archaeological sites, animations of their construction processes and 3D digital displays of unearthed objects. It offers a glimpse into the major discoveries and the latest archaeological achievements of multiple Hongshan cultural sites.

The exhibition will run for three months. Enditem
