CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Disney Fun House of Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University has been put into use. This is the first Disney Fun House in a hospital of Chongqing, and it is also an important practice for Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to explore the “Medical Social Worker + Volunteer Service” public welfare development model.

Disney Fun House is located on the 15th floor of the Inpatient Department of Liangjiang Hospital of Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. The room, 20 square meters, is covered with stickers of Mickey and Minnie mouse, as well as dolls, toys and picture books.

The Disney Fun House project started in 2016. The Walt Disney Company donated 20 million yuan through the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Shanghai Charity Foundation to establish a special fund for Disney Children’s Hospital to build “Disney Fun Houses” for 50 children’s hospitals across the country. The project is committed to creating a play space and carrying out play therapy activities to bring joy to children in the hospital, and to educate and encourage children to overcome adversity and overcome illness through playing games.

Disney Fun House will implement dedicated management, combining the needs of children and parents, regularly opening and organizing theme games and various activities to provide children and their families with a more warm medical atmosphere.
