According to the sponsor, the participant number of this event has been reduced from the original 15,000 to 5,000, including 3,000 runners of half marathon and 2,000 mini marathon. The track departed from People’s Square and passed through many parks and landmarks such as Xiuhu Car Camping Park, Xiuhu Park, Shuwang Park, Fengxiang Lake Children’s Park, Dongyue Sports Park, etc. It can be said to be the “track in the park”. The road as a whole also avoids the relatively large ups and downs, ensuring that the runners can enjoy the beauty of Bishan and experience the fun of the city marathon while creating their personal best results.

It is worth noting that on the track of Bishan Half Marathon this year, there is a special group of contestants who have a garbage bag in their hands. They didn’t pay attention to the speed of running, but only focused on every rubbish around the track. It turned out that this was a public welfare activity initiated by the Bishan Committee Propaganda Department, “Striving for a National Civilized City, Bishan Civilized Little Angels in Action”. A total of 300 volunteers were called to follow the athletes during the competition, pick up rubbish, complete a 7km-charity run, convey the concept of “Healthy Living, Environmental Protection”, and practice “green marathon” with practical actions.
