CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Birds flying, butterflies fluttering their wings, a charming panda, an attentive man... The brushstrokes and sketches that appear on papers make these paintings like three dimensional worlds, astonishing the artists’ mastery of their crafts.

Craftsmanship - The 1st Chongqing Biennale of Claborate-style Painting 2020 will be held at the Museum of Chongqing Fine Brushwork Society (102 Art Base) from now until December 15, so as to promote the development of claborate-style painting in Chongqing and build an art exchange platform. The exhibition attracts visitors from all over the country, even from Shenzhen, who come to witness this artistic feast.

With the theme of “Craftsmanship”, the exhibition features more than 100 artists, including famous masters of contemporary painting, national award-winning artists and young and middle-aged elite painters active in the contemporary brushwork society. Out of 294 entries, 101 works are selected for the exhibition after a preliminary and a re-evaluation, on the basis of which 10 works are selected for the Academic Award. In addition, there are 22 invited works, and a total of 123 outstanding claborate-style paintings are exhibited in this Chongqing Biennale. The works on display in this exhibition are not only realistic but also romantic in style, and are characterized by a diversity of artistic expressions.
