CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to New Land-sea Corridor Operation Company, 28 sets of large-scale Zigong festive lanterns arrived in Singapore on December 17, relying on the efficient and convenient rail-sea transport mode of the new land-sea corridor, and will be unveiled in “Better Tomorrow” - 2020 Love Lantern Festival to be held at Jurong Lake Gardens in Singapore.

The relevant person in charge of the Company introduced that 28 sets of large festive lanterns were carefully made by 100 professional craftsmen over the course of a month. Nevertheless, due to the recent severe shortage of containers and out of space in the shipping market, there was a greater risk of on-time delivery of these lanterns.

The Company coordinated with many parties to ensure that the event would be carried out as planned, and transported its own containers from Qinzhou Port in Guangxi to Chongqing to secure these lanterns for smooth packing and rail transport to Qinzhou Port from Chongqing. Time was running out, however, as the vessel was experiencing delays due to congestion in Singapore port.

Therefore, the Company coordinated in advance with all parties to strive for direct berthing and priority unloading of the vessel in Qinzhou Port and Singapore, and coordinated with the shipping company to increase speed appropriately when conditions allow.

With the support of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative Management Administration, Beigang Corporation, Beigang Logistics and Singapore PSA (Port of Singapore Authority), 28 sets of large-scale Zigong festive lanterns finally arrived in Singapore ahead of schedule in the afternoon of December 13. The lanterns have now been installed in Singapore and will be on time to meet the Singaporean public. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
