CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing City Transportation Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., starting from December 21, “one code for all” has been officially available in Chengdu and Chongqing for public transportation.

Citizens in Chongqing just need to enable the “Chongqing Public Transportation Code” function on Chongqing Citizen Transportation (重庆市民通) APP, and then take public transportation with just a code; and if they enable the “Chengdu Public Transportation Code” function on Citizen Transportation (市民通) APP, they can take bus, subway, railway train as well as BRT in Chengdu.

From Chengdu to Chongqing, passengers need to open Tianfutong (天府通) App and enable the “Chongqing Public Transportation Code” function, and then take Chongqing public transportation with a code, too.

In the future, citizens of the two places will feel like living in the same city with just a phone in hand.

Currently, functions including online recharging, inquiry, annual audit for elderly card and use-time recharging for student card have been put online. Up to now, an accumulation of 20 million services of recharging, price inquiry and others have been delivered to passengers.

Steps of Chongqing Public Transportation Code are as follows:

Step I: download and register on Chongqing Citizen Transportation APP;

Step II: click on the Transportation Code on the home page and finish the real-name authentication;

Step III: Click on “Chongqing Public Transportation Code” or “Chengdu Public Transportation Code” and authorize the payment without password;
