CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau issued a circular, saying that parts of Yuzhong District, Jiangbei District, Shapingba District, Nan’an District, Jiulongpo District and Chongqing Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone will be put under security control.

It is reported that the areas under security control includes Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, Raffles City, Hongyadong, Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street in Jiangbei, Jiujie Street and Jiangbeizui CBD in Yuzhong District, Three Gorges Square, Ciqikou, Chongqingxi Railway Station, and Sunac Resort in Shapingba District, Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street and the Mixc in Jiulongpo District, Nanping Pedestrian Street, Landmark Riverside Park and Yanyu Park in Jiulongpo District and Daxuecheng Sunny Block in Chongqing Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. 

From 10: 00 to 02: 00 of the next day on December 24, 25 and 31, car parking will be forbidden on the roadside parking spaces in areas under control; and from 18:00 to 02: 00 of the next day, the parking lot (garage) attached to the Business Street won’t be open for temporary parking in Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and Hongyadong in Yuzhong District and Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street in Jiangbei District.

From 19: 00 on December 24, 25 and 31, the number of buses entering Yuzhong Business Area, Jiangbei Business Area, Jiulongpo Business Area, Nan’an Business Area and others will be reduced; from 20: 00, cars and passengers from Dongshuimen Bridge and Qiansimen Bridge will be forbidden and only public traffic (empty) from Lianglukou, Crossing of Bridge 1, Yangtze River Bridge North End, Kaixuan Road Crossing and Mianhua Street Exit will be allowed to Jiefangbei.

From 19: 30 on December 24 and 25 and 19: 00 on December 31, CRT Line 1 won’t stop at Chaotianmen Station, Xiaoshizi Station, Jiaochangkou Station, Qixinggang Station and Lianglukou Station in Yuzhong District and Xiaolongkan Station and Shapingba Station in Shapingba Station; CRT Line 2 won’t stop at Jiaochangkou Station and Linjiangmen Station in Yuzhong District; CRT Line 3 won’t stop at Lianglukou Station in Yuzhong District and Huaxinjie Station, Guanyinqiao Station and Hongqi Hegou Station in Jiangbei District; CRT Line 6 won’t stop at Xiaoshizi Station in Yuzhong District, Dajuyuan Station, Jiangbeicheng Station and Hongqi Hegou in Jiangbei District and Shangxinjie Station in Nan’an District; and CRT Loop Line won’t stop at Shapingba Station in Shapingba District and Shangxinjie Station in Nan’an District.

It is worth noting that all visitors must wear a mask for entering the controlled areas and cooperate with the medical personnel in temperature measuring. Malls in controlled areas will be closed 1 hour before the regular time on December 24, 25 and 31.

Here is the warning from the police as well. Inflated stick (sword or bola), “snowflake cans”, hydrogen balloons and other inflammable and dangerous articles are not allowed in controlled areas; and unauthorized “low-level, slow and small” aircrafts including drones are not allowed in these areas. The Public Security Bureau will regulate the human and traffic flow in these areas according to the situation, for which they ask for the support and understanding from the public. With the requirements in the circular, visitors should schedule their trip in advance to avoid inconveniences and follow the guidance of the on-site polices.
