CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- There will be Hot Spring Festival, Ice and Snow Festival, Folk Culture Festival, Concerts, Happy Running and other events. On December 22, “2020 Chongqing Winter Tourism News Conference and Winter Tourism Launching Ceremony” were co-hosted by the Committee of Culture and Tourism and County Government of Fengdu. The reporter learned from the News Conference that more than 160 winter sport events will be organized for visitors to fully enjoy in winter.

Recently, it has been getting colder and colder in Chongqing. Mountains have been capped with an “ice hat”; forests have been put on “colorful dresses”; hot springs are streaming in Pingba; and major scenic spots have switched to “winter” mode. Relevant departments and scenic spots made considerable arrangements and will launch 160 winter sport events including Hot Spring Festival, Ice and Snow Festival, Folk Culture Festival, Music Festival and others, so that visitors will fully enjoy their winter trip. Among these events, 2020 Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Event was held in Wulong; the 22nd China Chongqing Jinfo Mountain Ice and Snow Festival in Nanchuan; the First Fengdu Nanchuan Ice and Snow Event in Fengdu; and the Third Chongqing Winter Sport Series and the First Chongqing National Skateboard Competition in Shizhu.

At the Launching Ceremony, Fengdu, Nanchuan, Wansheng, Shizhu, Chengkou, Youyang and others, promoted their winter tourist products and high-quality travelling routes.

In Fengdu, visitors can not only throw flying saucers on snow field in Nantian Lake, take unpowered pulley, snowmobile and snow tank and enjoy other events, but also visit Xueyu Cave, witnessing the beautiful scenery of “the snowfall of billions of years ago”. The unique “pink snow” will be made in Nanchuan Jinfo Mountain where visitors can “play with the pink snow and have a passionate New Year”. In the meantime, the organizer will also offer services like Ice and Snow Hotspot, Azalea Artificial Hot Spring, Parent-child Winter Olympics and others. In Wansheng, there will be colorful artistic performances, including 10 Spring Festival Couplets Calligraphy Gifts Activities, the First Chongqing and Chengdu Cultural Products Private Collection and Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, Ox-year Lantern Riddles and Garden Tour on the Lantern Festival, 2021 Sichuan Opera Exhibition and other events.
