CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Social Sports Guidance Center, recently, the 7th National Public Ice and Snow Season (Chongqing Branch) and the launch ceremony of Chongqing 3rd Winter Sports Season kicked off at International Ski Resort of the Nantian Lake. With the theme of “Inspiring the Chinese Dream - A New Chapter of Ice and Snow”, this year’s Winter Sports Season will run throughout the winter, from the end of November this year to January next year.

At the launch ceremony, International Ski Resort of the Nantian Lake was awarded a plaque as a social practice education base for primary and secondary schools in Chongqing. The Snow Volleyball Invitational Tournament, a traditional event of Winter Sports Season, then kicked off at the snow pack. The atmosphere was quickly lit up with laughter, cheers and shouts, and the participants were delighted with the competition. “Southern Chinese are obsessed with snow, but I didn’t expect snow volleyball to be so much fun! I hope to come to this tournament every year in the future,” Mr. Liu from Fuling said. It is worth mentioning that, the Winter Sports Season has been upgraded on the basis of previous editions, in addition to traditional ice and snow events such as snow volleyball, which are popular among the general public, with a richer program covering people of all ages and activities in all districts and counties of the city.
