CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “The street is so beautiful. One wall, which is looked about 100m away, is covered with graffiti. It was spectacular.” Recently, Jieyue Street near Chaotianmen IMIX attracted many people, especially the large area of graffiti in red rendering the whole street. Some people even said: “It shows the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year.” How was the street made? Recently, a reporter of Chongqing Evening News paid a special visit.

The reporter saw that this street is relatively narrow, and it is an alley with a width about 5m and a length about 100m; its right side is leading to the mall garage, and its left side is the cliff wall in trapezoidal structure with the highest point more than 10m; and from the start to the end of the street, it has been fully covered with graffiti. All these are very spectacular from a distance. In this wall graffiti, the reporter saw such landmarks as Jiefangbei and Hongyadong as well as such animals as gorilla and panda. The most special is that the whole wall is particularly three-dimensional through the graffiti and the buildings and shops in the graffiti seem “live” under the background of “This Is Chongqing”, “Boutique Silver Ornaments” and others.

“Every time I pass by here, I will take a look. The whole wall graffiti is in red mainly. It looks very festive, really in line with the atmosphere of Chinese New Year.” Mr. Li said to the reporter that “When the wall is completely finished, and hung up some colorful lights and lanterns, it will seem more like a temple fair. By then, the street will surely be popular.”

Why this street is made? The reporter got in contact with the relevant department of IMIX, and knew that there were many vehicles parked randomly, which seems not beautiful; therefore, IMIX invited a design team to create a lively and happy street scene. According to the relevant person in charge, this wall is under construction, and estimated to be finished before the Spring Festival 2021. When the street is completed, you can go to the glass corridor on the fifth floor of IMIX to enjoy the entire wall graffiti and festive street scene.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to visiting this festive street, you can also come to IMIX “Special Escalator” with red fence and long extension line to take photo. This escalator would make you feel like that you are in space and can’t see the end. This escalator was very famous recently, and went viral on the Internet.
