CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It’s the beginning of another year. Recently, Wanzhou Culture and Tourism Committee announced good news. By Chongqing Tourism Scenic Area Quality Rating Committee in accordance with the procedures of the organization assessment, Chongqing Wanzhou Three Gorges Pinghu Scenic Area has reached the National AAAA Scenic Area standard and has been officially approved as a National AAAA Scenic Area. At the same time, Chongqing Wanzhou Qixinggu Scenic Area and Chongqing Wanzhou Tong Huahuawan Valley of Beauty Scenic Area have reached the standard of National AAA Scenic Area and have been officially approved as National AAA Scenic Areas.

It is learned that the total area of Wanzhou Three Gorges Pinghu Scenic Area is 5.6 million square meters, of which the water area is 5.213 million square meters and the land area is 387,000 square meters.

The Scenic Area is divided into two areas of the north and south riverside around the lake, containing eight landscape areas and the waters along the Yangtze River between the Wanzhou Yangtze River Bridge 2 and the Pailou Yangtze River Bridge, all of which are typical sightseeing and leisure scenic areas where the mountains and water are intertwined and the lake and city are integrated.
