CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Administration of Sport, 2021 Chongqing Shooting Championships recently concluded at Chongqing Shooting and Archery Sports Management Center. There were 24 events in the Championships, with three categories - Ding 1, Ding 2 and Ding 3 - for ages 7-12. The Championships were attended by 578 players from 25 district and primary school teams across the city. 72 medals were awarded after three days of fierce competition.

The equipment used in the Championships is a photoelectric version of the professional equipment used in the Olympic Games, aiming to achieve a professional, advanced and safe range and to create a good competition environment for the young players.

The relevant person in charge of organizing committee introduced that the promotion of photoelectric shooting has led to an increasing number of parents choosing the sport as their child’s main sporting development. “Chongqing has so far held a total of eight various youth photoelectric shooting competitions with over 4,000 participants,” the person said.
