CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In support of the construction of the reading room in Elderly Service Centre of Wan’an Sub-district in Shizhu County, Chongqing, to let the elderly feel the care from the society and enjoy a high quality of healthy retirement life, Shizhu Library recently donated a total of 800 books worth 20,000 yuan to the Center, making the Center’s reading room overflowing with the fragrance of books.

It is introduced that established in October 2020, the Elderly Service Centre of Wan’an Sub-district is a comprehensive elderly care institution that integrates home care, recreation, psychological guidance and rehabilitation training. The Center has also set up a small reading room to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly.

“The reading room of our Center is in need of additional books, and this time Shizhu Library has sent us books on literature and history, life, health care and wellness for the elderly, which is really a timely help,” the person in charge of the Center said.
