CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Flight PN6207 from Chongqing to Haikou, operated by West Air’s Airbus A321 (registration number B-321T), took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport with passengers on board. After a two-hour flight, the aircraft landed successfully at Haikou Meilan International Airport, marking the successful maiden flight of West Air’s newly introduced Airbus A321 aircraft with passengers.

It is learned that as a result of the introduction of two new A321 aircraft into West Air, the number of daily flights from Chongqing to Hainan has reached six, with nearly 24% of the civil aviation “through Chongqing to Hainan” capacity and nearly 21% of the passenger traffic being carried by West Air.

According to the person in charge of the aircraft introduction working group, A321 is the largest model in Airbus A320 series and can accommodate up to 230 seats. The single-seat fuel cost and single-seat operation and maintenance cost of this model are diluted to a certain extent compared to A320 and A319, which will drive down the price of air tickets.

The relevant person in charge of West Air introduced that in the next five years, West Air plans to exceed 80 aircraft in capacity and 22 million passengers per year. The capacity allocation of aircraft models will be further optimized as the Company continues to expand its route network. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
