CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Phase II of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 Branch Line and the Xiaochao Section of Line 1 were officially opened to traffic. On the day of the opening, the public could enjoy the entire 5G high-speed network of China Mobile. Chongqing Branch of China Mobile has released news that full coverage of China Mobile’s 5G network will be achieved simultaneously when new rail transit lines in Chongqing are opened from this year. The rail mobile network coverage has started the “three synchronous” era of “synchronous construction, synchronous opening and synchronous use” with the rail transit construction.

Chongqing Branch of China Mobile has taken a “personalized” approach to the construction of each rail network in order to effectively solve the problem of network signal jams during the rail journey and to continuously improve the comfort of passengers travelling conveniently. A multi-layer 4G and 5G network coverage has been achieved in Phase II of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 Branch Line; and antennas have been installed at the tunnel entrance to ensure smooth network switching inside and outside the train. In Xiaochao Section of Line 1, “One pRRU One Cell” multi-cell dense networking technology has been adopted for the first time in the rail scenario to expand the network capacity, which is able to cope with the pressure of 4G and 5G network usage in the Jiefangbei shopping area during the peak holiday season.

In addition, as 5G networks are fully covered in rail transit, Chongqing Branch of China Mobile is vigorously promoting the in-depth integration of 5G and rail transit, actively exploring the implementation of 5G applications such as face-swiping check-in, face-swiping payment and smart security in rail transit, helping rail transit achieve digital operation and making travel more convenient and safer for the public.
