CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The giant landscape graffiti wall on Nanbin Road has been a hit recently. It is understood that as one of the 30 projects, it is designed and constructed in just 20 days for the overall enhancement of the Core Area of two rivers and four banks in 2020 as part of the greening and municipal maintenance project around the interchange at the south end of Shibanpo Yangtze River Bridge.

The giant landscape graffiti wall is located next to the bus stop at Huanggedu Interchange on Nanbin Road, a 1.3km walk from Exit 4 of Gongmao Station, Line 3. This is one of the largest pieces of graffiti the reporter from Chongqing Evening News has ever seen, including a large tree, a ferry port, peddlers, women and children with bags, rolling Yangtze River, and stilted buildings. The whole painting appears vividly on the wall beside the road and is very characteristic of Chongqing’s landscape and Bayu culture.

How big is this graffiti? Judging by the comparison of the cars passing by the road, it is estimated to be nearly 10 cars long. Moreover, the painting shows the gigantic Ficus virens, which looks as tall and three-dimensional as a real tree, such craftsmanship that many passers-by are amazed by it. “This is a really nice landscape painting! I thought of you (the media) when I first saw it. Look, everyone came today and took so many beautiful photos, it was worth the trip.” A group of middle-aged women were taking photographs here, and one of them, dressed in red with a vintage paper umbrella and well-groomed, caught my attention. The red flowered umbrella matched the landscape painting particularly well, and when she stepped towards the painting, the first thought was that she looked like she had come from the painting.

One after another, a number of people came to visit and take photos. It is important to note that the graffiti wall is right next to the road and there are many vehicles coming and going, so people taking photos should be careful. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
