CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “Thank you, dear police officers!” After school in the afternoon on January 21, Jiang Chenshi, a student of Class 2 in Grade 2 from Gaotanyan Primary School in Shapingba District, Chongqing, accompanied by her mother, came to Xinqiao Police Station again with 13 handmade wind chime pendants that she had made herself, and gave the gifts to the police officers there.

In early January, to celebrate the first People’s Police Day, more than 30 students and teachers from Gaotanyan Primary School, including Jiang Chenshi, went to Xinqiao Police Station to participate in the “Police Open Day” activity.

During the activity, the students sent flowers and handicrafts to the police officers who are working on the frontline to express their wishes. Among them, Jiang Chenshi’s handmade wind chime pendants made from used badminton and loving cards were unanimously praised by the police, but a total of 13 police officers participated in the activity that day and there were not enough handmade wind chime pendants for some of them to receive.

When Jiang Chenshi saw this, she offered to make more and send them over after she got home, and the scene at the beginning of the article was born.

“The police work very hard every day to keep everyone safe!” Jiang Chenshi said that the wording on the wind chimes means that she hopes that the police officers will be safe and sound in their work.

The police officers said they felt extra warm when they received the wind chimes made by Jiang Chenshi in this cold winter. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
