Recently, 1,400 students from Chongqing College of Mobile Communication put up a show with words like “looking to the future” and “ring out the Old Year and ring in the New Year” and a big windmill pattern that went viral on Wechat Moments. The reporter will show you the story behind this set of performances.

Jiang Huanhuan, Chief of Staff of Military Training Regiment in Grade 2020 of Chongqing College of Mobile Communication, was the planner of the military training show, and told the reporter that Chongqing College of Mobile Communication was renamed from College of Mobile Telecommunication of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications just as the students in Grade 2020 were undergoing military training, “The students also shouted out the slogan of smooth sailing and promising future to Chongqing College of Mobile Communication during the graphic transformation of the spinning windmill, which was also the wish of the freshmen of Military Training Regiment to the College,” Jiang Huanhuan said.

The whole spinning windmill show was attended by about 1,400 people, consisting of female students from both School of Business and School of Arts and Media. Jiang Huanhuan introduced, “it took about a week of practice and 2 days of choreography and rehearsals. It took about four minutes from the time it came out to the time it came together for a turn, or about 20 minutes if combined with the whole sign language show, plus other performances.”

This combination of military training and windmill patterning is the first of its kind in Chongqing, and in the future, the College could also display it at the opening of games or other large events. Zhao Chong, a student of Radio and Television Choreography at School of Arts and Media, Chongqing College of Mobile Communication, who took part in the performance, told the reporter that everyone was very committed to the military training and cooperated very well.
