CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A comprehensive family-friendly snow park with an indoor area of more than 1,300 square meters, “Xiongqi Snow Park” of Chongqing Zoo will officially open to the public on January 30.

Vivid ice sculptures

The first thing you see when you push the door into the Park is a giant maze with walls made entirely of ice bricks, and at the center of the maze is a castle, also made of ice bricks, which is fantastic.

The maze is flanked by two sets of exquisite ice sculptures. On one side are a cave landscape and two polar bears made of real ice, while on the other side is a vivid reproduction of a scene from the animated film Madagascar. Carved by professional ice sculptors, all of these ice sculptures are incredibly vivid.

Varied entertainment items

The writer learned that the Snow Park offers a wide range of entertainment, including “Snow Spinner”, a carousel-like ride where you can sit on a hanging snow ring and swing freely round and round; “Ice Spin Bike”, which can be ridden by four people, where the whole family can participate; and a small children’s slide for children to enjoy.

The area is also home to two Nordic polar huts with a foot of snow on the roof, where children can take photos as if they were characters in a fairy tale.

Available all year round

It is learned that Xiongqi Snow Park will be open all year round as a regular pavilion at the Zoo, allowing the public to experience a variety of snow and ice entertainment items throughout the year.

“The Park is currently offering two parent-child ticket packages, 118 yuan for one adult and one child and 158 yuan for two adults and one child. Single tickets are 68 yuan.” According to the staff of the Zoo, adults and children entering the Park must wear exclusive non-slip shoes and cold-proof clothing. Pregnant women, drunkenness, dizziness, high blood pressure, heart disease, cold and fever, and people who are not feeling well are advised not to enter the Park.

It is understood that the Park is located at the old gate of Chongqing Zoo and is open from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Sunday. (Translated by Wang Huixin, Fathom Language Limited)
