Conclusion of the 3rd Chongqing Ice and Snow Sports Season

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the two-month 7th National Public Ice and Snow Season (Chongqing Sub-site) and the 3rd Chongqing Ice and Snow Sports Season drew to a successful conclusion. This season organized more than 10 ice and snow sports events, covering more than 10 areas including Jiulongpo, Shapingba, Fengdu and Shizhu, attracting nearly 100,000 people to participate and watch the games. This Ice and Snow Sports Season has set off a boom in ice and snow sports across Chongqing, continuing to attract and drive more citizens to participate in ice and snow activities and promoting the popularity of ice and snow sports in the city.

Southern Chinese have always had a different vision and feeling for snow and ice. Today, Chongqing’s ongoing Ice and Snow Sports Season, the yearly increase in rinks and ski areas and a variety of ice and snow sports events at all levels are bringing the public closer to ice and snow step by step, bringing the world of ice and snow that they once yearned for to their side and fulfilling the ice and snow dreams of countless Chongqing people. In winter, rinks and ski areas of all sizes in Chongqing become a great place for people to have fun and do sports.

According to Ke Ping, Director of Chongqing Winter Sports Management Center, this year’s Ice and Snow Sports Season includes low-barrier, popular ice and snow activities such as Tug of War on Snow and Ice and Ice Graffiti, as well as professional ice and snow events such as the first National Public Snowboarding Challenge and Chongqing Roller Skating and Hockey League, with a wide variety of sports events and activities spread throughout the districts and counties in Chongqing, allowing citizens to enjoy the fun of ice and snow sports without leaving the city.
