According to the relevant responsible person of Chongqing Polytechnic Institute, the railway is 200 meters long and the train (rail work) is also realistic and can be driven back and forth on the railway track. The rail work train will be used for all practical training courses, including locomotive maintenance and driving technology, for the Institute’s students in this major.

In addition, it has been restored to the real size of a true railway platform, with a simulated training platform of 20 meters long and 5 meters wide, and three entry and exit gates installed. It will become the main place for students majoring in the Railway to learn etiquette and station management skills.

The relevant responsible person said that as a rare practical training railway on the campus of a institute, this project is a key demonstration project of Chongqing Polytechnic Institute to promote the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation. It is jointly invested and built by the Institute and the enterprise, namely, Chongqing Branch of Hangtie (China) Corporation, and will undertake the teaching practice and training tasks of the Institute for railway and track majors, and is dedicated to cultivating application-oriented higher professional talents for the industry.

The reporter learned from the Institute that if any Chongqing residents are interested in visiting the Campus Railway Platform, they can do so for free if they cooperate with the Institute’s epidemic prevention procedures while entering the school.
