The Consulate General of Belarus in Chongqing opened in Jiefangbei World Financial Centre

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Consulate General of Belarus in Chongqing held the opening ceremony in World Financial Centre, Yuzhong District. So far, there have been 12 foreign consulates in Chongqing.

Tong Defa, Deputy Director of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at the opening ceremony that the official opening of the Consulate General of Belarus in Chongqing has injected new impetus into the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Belarus and marked a new chapter in the exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Belarus.

Senko Yury, Belarus Ambassador to China, said at the opening ceremony that the Consulate General of Belarus in Chongqing was located in World Financial Centre, Yuzhong District, covering the consular districts including Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi and Hubei, and it will provide such services as visa issuing, documents certification, translation certification and certificates issuing.

“This is also the third consulate general we set up in China after Shanghai and Guangzhou,” said Senko Yury. On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China, the official establishment of the third consulate general in China will bring vitality and connotation to the cooperation between Belarus and Chongqing in the fields of economy, trade, investment and culture. At the same time, the establishment of the Consulate General will provide impetus for the practical cooperation between Belarus and China and create conditions for the comprehensive cooperation and development of the two countries.
