CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Hi-tech Zone, Western (Chongqing) Science City is expected to have another sports center – “Chongqing University Huxi Campus Sports Center”.

It is understood that the Center was commenced in May 2020, and plans to be finished in December 2022.

Up to now, 90% of the main structure has been finished, and intelligent site technology has also been applied to the construction site, realizing precise layout plan, 4D construction simulation, steel truss indoor lifting and other links, ensuring the construction quality and speed.

It is understood that the project is located in the northeast of Huxi Campus of Chongqing University, and covers a building area of 44,298.83 square meters.

After completion, the Center will be the biggest sports center among universities in Chongqing, and it can be used for holding large-scale sports events.

It is worth mentioning that the competition area of the Center is designed as a medium-scale A-class sports center with 6,664 seats, and it can be used for holding basketball events, badminton events, table tennis events, gymnastics and others.
