CCTV reading booth in Jiefangbei

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, one of the offline activities of CCTV’s “Readers”, a reading booth, appeared in Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, attracting a large number of “readers” to enter the booth and record what they think, feel and understand in their minds.

The reading booth is less than 2 square meters with golden shell. When pushing the door in, there are professional microphone, airproof cover, camera, small bracket ...... making people feel like walking into a recording studio, heart-warming and official. According to Chongqing Daily reporter, many citizens were attracted to the reading booth just after it was opened.

“I specifically chose Zhu Ziqing’s ‘Spring’, because yesterday was the Beginning of Spring, and it represents vitality and hope.” Reader Cheng Qiuju said after recording her voice in excitement. “I love the program ‘Reader’ so much, its connection with personal growth, emotional experience, character stories and heirloom masterpieces, the choice of beautiful words, the most down-to-earth emotions, are really thought-provoking, inspiring and educational.” She said that she is a teacher engaged in special education, and her daily work is to teach disabled children the skills of living and learning. Recording Zhu Ziqing’s “Spring” is to make her voice, be heard by more disabled children while bringing them more hope for life.

The Chongqing Daily reporter noted that the “readers” who came to the booth could either bring their own works or select short classics and books from the staff at the reading booth.

According to the introduction, the CCTV reading booth will be open in Jiefangbei until March this year, and the opening hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day.
