CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Since February 13, Guangyang Island has been opened on a trial basis and the public can enjoy the flowers on the Island after making reservations. The reporter saw on the Island that large red plums have been blooming one after another, overflowing with a strong sense of spring.

“We came all this way to breathe in the fresh air of the New Year!” Yang Weihong from Dadukou District took her mother and daughter into Guangyang Island on the shuttle bus just after 10am and roamed around at ease. She said the family didn’t have outside activities during Chinese New Year last year due to the epidemic prevention and control, so they couldn’t wait to feel the spring this year. With beautiful scenery and free reservations, Guangyang Island is a popular choice for spring outing.

The family of Li Shenghai from Beibei District also chose to visit Guangyang Island to enjoy the flowers. Li said that the family was going to enjoy the red plum blossoms for the first time and then return home after tasting the ecological food.

This reporter learned from Guangyang Island Green Development Company that if people want to enter the Island via ground road, they need to make a reservation on “Guangyang Island Green Development Company” official WeChat account one day in advance, and they can only enter the Island after the reservation is successful.

During this trial opening, shuttle buses from outside Guangyang Island and scheduled buses from inside the Island resume operation and run on a rolling schedule. Departure time from outside the Island is 9:30-16:30, stopping at stations in order, including West Island Head, Comprehensive Demonstration Area, East Island Head and Guangyangying.

At the same time, the water route of Chaotianmen - Guanyang Island will resume operation during this trial opening. The departure time from Chaotianmen to Guangyang Island is 10:00 and 11:30 respectively, and the departure time from Guangyang Island to Chaotianmen is 14:00 and 15:00 respectively.

Visitors can purchase tickets in advance through Chongqing Ferry Company’s official WeChat account “Chongqing Jiaoyun Liangjiang Tour” as well as online platforms such as Ctrip.com and Meituan, and make reservations for entering the Island after successful purchase.

Guangyang Island Green Development Company reminds the public not to enter the unopened area during the trial opening for Chinese New Year, and that they must present their reservation information, green health code and have their body temperature taken in accordance with the relevant regulations, and wear a mask when entering the crowded area.
