Chongqingbei Railway Station received 581,000 person-times during Spring Festival holiday

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqingbei Railway Station Comprehensive Administration (hereinafter referred to as “the Administration”), during the Spring Festival of 2021, Chongqingbei Railway Station received 581,000 person-times, decreasing by 60% compared with that of 2019, and increasing by 3% compared with that of 2020.
The person in charge of the Administration said that “last year, affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the inter-provincial flow was limited, many flights were suspended, and passenger flow dropped sharply. Compared with last year, passenger traffic has not increased significantly this year and remains low in the long term”.
Statistics showed that during this year’s Spring Festival holiday, the peak number of passengers at Chongqingbei Railway Station was 138,000 person-times on February 17, and the lowest number of passengers was 35,000 person-times on February 12.

The passenger flow is decreased, but the station service is improved. The person in charge said that in order to ensure the safe and orderly operation of the Station during the holiday, the Administration improved the travelling experience of passengers from such aspects as epidemic control and prevention, transport capacity scheduling, social order governance and volunteer service.
The person in charge also said that “during the Spring Festival holiday, we made contingency plans based on epidemic control and prevention, and transport and divide the passengers who have a history of living abroad and the others, so as to ensure finish the epidemic control and prevention well.”
At the Taxi Area of North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, the reporter saw that the taxi drivers would be checked by working staff before entering the station to pick up passengers to ensure that they wear masks correctly, and add a line of defense to epidemic control and prevention.
In addition, the volunteer services in the Station continue to be carried out, providing inquiries and guidance, order maintenance, convenience and benefit services to the passengers.
