CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, spring has been in full bloom. The writer visited Huaguo Mountain on Bayue Mountain, Xingfa Village, Shiyu Town, Tongliang District, Chongqing. As far as the eye could see, the white plum blossoms all over the mountain were like snow, and the grand and spectacular flower scene was like a colorful painting; tourists walked in twos and threes, enjoying the flowers and taking photos, and laughter passed through the forest.

Shiyu Town is a large town of fruit production in Tongliang, with more than 6,000mu of fruit trees in the town, mainly plums and peaches, of which the core area of Xingfa Village is the most famous for its plums. Every year when the flowers bloom, the Village becomes a tourist hotspot for flower viewing in the suburbs of Tongliang, attracting more than 100,000 visitors to view the flowers and enjoy the scenery.

“At present, the Town and Village have made all the preparations for the reception, parking and agricultural products sales area to provide a comfortable and safe outing environment for tourists,” said Zhang Xinghong, a village secretary.

During the flower viewing period from late February to early March, tourists can also shop for authentic local produce, visit farmhouses to taste authentic farmhouse cuisine, purchase plum trees and pre-order peach and plum fruit, or take in the beauty of the countryside from a high vantage point.
